As usual,
there was a gathering of technical bodies at Marion's place around IMS.
Shopping, or rather looking at what you can buy, is a uniquely
American pasttime, and we indulged. This scooter was to be had for
well under US$1k, and at Best Buy, which usually isn't.
Edwin Skyped, and as usual he impressed Kent and Marion.
His trick of inverting his picture so as to seem the right
way up viewed from the other side of the globe always brings the
house down.
Japanese dinner in the Mask Room was taken... and the boyz
discovered Kent's wonderful electric rickshaw.
Tom managed a tour of the fab for the boyz... and his family afforded us a delightful
evening...
... not the least part of which was the Low Aircraft Factory, where
tiny permanent-magnet ac motors deliver astonishing power,
sufficient to allow an plane to back up in mid air.
We visited various interesting places...
I visited a few friends in the cracks...
However, the majority of my time was spent with Agilent People,
talking mostly business, and it was a delight to do so this time.
Here's hoping great things come of it.
